ADHD Study

March 28, 2014 at 1:54 PM

In a study done by Kaiser Permamente in Southern California published this past January, it was found that the number of children diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) had increased 24 percent between 2001 and 2010.  VOBH offers in-depth testing for ADHD in order to assess and diagnose this growing problem.  A new European study (ECNP) found that up to two-thirds of children diagnosed with ADHD continue to have the disorder in adulthood. Yet, few adults ever receive a formal diagnosis and treatment. This only reiterates how important it is that children are diagnosed so that they can be treated early.

In addition to our assessment and therapy services, VOBH also offers ADHD coaching to help children and adults with this condition to better manage their day to day lives.  The coaching is designed to help clients stay focused on their goals, face obstacles, improve time management, and enhance their organizational skills.  VOBH offers these services in Los Angeles and its surrounding counties.
